happy birthday, so

I think of life itself now as a wonderful play that I've written for myself... and so my purpose is to have the utmost fun playing my part.

Shirley MacLaine

It doesn't seem fair for birthdays to fall on Monday--the day we have to go back to playing the part of being responsible and going to work! I decree that birthdays be on the weekends when we can play...henceforth and forevermore.

Happy birthday, SO!

(Let's celebrate all week and through the weekend, too.)

When I was ten or so, I came up with the idea that we ought to get as many days to celebrate our birthdays as we will be years old. That way, adults would stop complaining about how old they were getting. I mean, who wouldn't want 40 days to celebrate your birthday, right?

May the week be glorious.

I say, celebrate on the weekend, and then all through the week, and next weekend too! Birthdays are meant to celebrate . . . all year, maybe?!

Have a great birthday celebration at your house...today and all week. Will that mean presents every day? :)

Happy Birthday, SO! I know you'll be celebrated with much love.

I'm a firm believer in celebrating the whole month, although I like Kari's idea even better.
