Mr. Woodward is far more optimistic than I. I hope he is right. Too much gets in the way of our being kind to one another. Too much keeps us from taking care of one another.
In tragedy, we all pull together. What about before tragedy strikes?
We need more kindness. We need more capacity to see the other in ourself.
