grateful

(banana with clematis in bloom)

Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.

Luther Burbank

I look forward to returning to mundane conversations instead of convalescent reports. However, in the meantime, the convalescent is doing quite well. We are able to space out the pain meds a bit. He spent the afternoon on the bed with me, wrapped in my down comforter. He's eating and drinking, and all bodily functions are "go".

I am grateful. These days, gratitude is top of the list.

What are you grateful for? I'd love to hear.

At this stage of life I am most grateful for all the wonderful people in my life, both friends and family. It is wonderful to love and be loved.

I'm grateful HoneyBoy is doing so well. I feel like a little part of him lives in my heart with the rest of my favorite felines. It's nice to hear he's soaking up all the extra attention coming his way. :-)

I am grateful for shelter, clean water whenever I want it, good food, companionship, my dear family, and sleep whenever I can get it.
