Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.

Recently, I read Love For No Reason at All. It was not unlike many other books I've read over the years about lovingkindness and choosing love in all situations. For some reason (or no reason at all), this book got through to me at a new level. Maybe it was the book. Maybe I was just ready.
Whatever.
I have a new practice. When I get frustrated or angry at someone in traffic, for example, I express myself through expletives then I catch myself and say, "And I love you for no reason at all."
Perhaps one day I will go directly there as my default

I love this, B. An awesome practice. You go, girl.
All it takes is practice and intention. I hope you're saying that to yourself a lot - that will make it easier to say to those traffic bozos.
Wow! I thought about this. I do that. Many people I love for no reason at all. But then, there are still those that I need to work on. Thanks for the eye opener.
One of the many reasons I love you...
..I'm very eager to know the name of the author of this lovely book!
