the edge

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

~ Kurt Vonnegut~
from his first novel, Player Piano

I'm not sure I have ever been a centrist in my life. Pick an extreme. That's often where you'll find me.

It's a lot more fun to be on the ends when you play Crack the Whip.

Living on the edge kind of goes along with not being a conformist. Makes for a lot more excitement in life. Go for it!

Middle is hard for me, too - just like gray is a harder color to see than black or white.

Now marmalade? There's a color to love.

The center alludes me, too.

Tee hee! Yes it is. As a tiny mite of a thing half the size of my age, I loved being on the end, but I surely did have to hang on tight. Those stronger, bigger kids could whip me off my feet fast. Fortunately, I was so scrawny, I easily took off, airborne. Wheeeeee!
