What is it about municipalities not allowing residents to grow vegetable gardens in their front yards? I mean...really? Some will allow it if the garden is not more than 30% of the area. Some are outlawing them (or trying) altogether. I've even heard of authorities coming and pulling up the garden planted in an area that was previously construction dirt and debris.

Isn't this an answer? Isn't this a way to get people to eat more vegetables and start putting a dent in the obesity epidemic? Lowering health care costs?

God help us all...please.
