love thursday 07.15.10 ~ labor of love

The book is done. 80 pages.

This is the tribute I wrote for my father who was a logger.

I uploaded the book tonight and ordered my first copies. They should be here soon. I will keep you posted.

Yes, you can order yours now, too. If you want to wait until I look it over first...that'd be okay.

I'll figure out a way to get you an autographed copy if you would like one.

Happy Love Thursday!

Wow, Wanda, this is so cool! I didn't realize your dad was a logger. Mine was, too, in the early days. I'll order my copy as soon as you're sure the book is all you want it to be, and meet you for coffee to get the inscription. I'm really proud of you for doing this.

Congratulations, Wanda! What an accomplishment, on so many levels. Will you show us a bit, please? As I recall, Blurb has a way to let people get a taste of the feast inside. I can't wait for a look.

The book looks wonderful, Wanda. What a wonderful memory for you and your family. Your father was a great man. Susan (don't know why my name no longer comes up)

Oh duh. I need to stop spending so much time online. My old eyes didn't even see that preview link up there. Just read the first pages. Can't wait for more! I looked for a way to buy it for my IPad, which is how I read most books these days (avoiding paper, especially virgin paper), and didn't find one, so I wrote the Blurb people. Hopefully, they have e-reader options too.

Wanda, it's beautiful.

It is poignant. It brings tears to my eyes. It is a beautiful tribute to a hard-working, loving man. Having had the privilege of being one of the first to hear/read the book in its infancy, I can truly say that you have captured the essence of the second most important part of his life — his work, the most important part being his family. I am so proud of you, Wanda, for having the ability to create this memorial, which I will treasure for the rest of my days. I love you.

When you read your book at our private graveside service for Dad I was so impressed with your talent and the story you conveyed. I am proud of you, too. What a tribute to Dad.
