I was struggling with a way to explain to Lola today why she ought not to spill every detail of her sister's most embarrassing habits in public ("C'mon, Mom - it's the truth! Do you want me to lie?"). I don't have to struggle any more. Thank you for this.
That's been one of my hardest-to-learn life lessons. :-)
Sometimes, that is a very difficult choice. I find myself sometimes rating honesty as being all important . . . sometimes, it's not all that important.
