how may i serve?

Helping, fixing, and serving represent three different ways of seeing life. When you help, you see life as weak. When you fix, you see life as broken. When you serve, you see life as whole. Fixing and helping may be the work of the ego, and service the work of the soul.

A Time for Listening and Caring

I love to help--especially if it is something I am good at or it involves learning something new.

Fixing gives me great satisfaction. You will have noticed that in all the reports I make on this blog. And being a homeowner, I always have something I can fix.

I believe she is right about service. It comes from a different place. My inner experience is very different from either of the other two. Service expands us both--the server and the served--and lifts the experience to sacred.

How may I serve? How may I serve you?

Keep writing your wonderful blog, keep posting pictures, keep being you. I am so grateful for you being there, though I visit so much less frequently than I used to. I always try to catch up on what I've missed when I do drop by, until that hour or so runs completely out and I must do something else.

Your blog is a ever a source of encouragement and inspiration.
