Philanthropy is commendable, but it must not cause the philanthropist to overlook the circumstances of economic injustice which make philanthropy necessary.~ Martin Luther King Jr. ~
Philanthropy. The love of mankind...humankind. If we truly loved humankind, wouldn't we try to make sure that everyone had what they need?
Happy Love Thursday, everyone. I hope you all have what you need.

Here is a link to a piece I wrote on a novel Australian approach to philanthropy - "commercial in confidence?"

I agree with your sentiments so much, Wanda... I feel blessed to have more and then some of what I truly need. I can only pray and help to do so that others may experience such too. :o)
or better, be happy with what you have.
Thought provoking quote!
Yes, yes indeed. Economist Lester Brown, who wrote the Plan B books (since Plan A isn't working) has developed a budget that can save the climate AND raise every human being on the planet out of poverty--if we act now, fast and hard. I like that kind of thinking. The reason his budget includes eliminating poverty: It seems we cannot save the planet without saving the poorest of us.
Don't you love it?
Thanks for the love, Wanda.
And you. Another perfect cat pic!
