When I am with you, we stay up all night.
When you’re not here, I can’t go to sleep.
Praise God for those two insomnias!
And the difference between them.Rumi
I know which one I would rather have.
Light and shadow. Foreground and background. Stand in the inbetween. Dance in the middle. That's what I'd do.

Personally, I'd much rather have the first. There aren't many people I'm willing to stay up all night for or with anymore, but those who are worth it are always welcome!
love this quote. both insomnias, beautiful to feel because they both proclaim love.
I've never read that particular Rumi poem before - love it!
Both contain power, as does the space between. That Rumi was amazing.
Rumi knew so much about love, and was so eloquent, that (forgive my sexism if you can) I sometimes wonder if he wasn't a woman.
