We had a heck of a storm this weekend. Thunder, lightning, wind sheers, hail--all of it...all at once. A tree fell in the neighborhood so we were without power for 3 hours. What better excuse to go out for dinner?
Bamboo update: We have another new shoot on the same plant. I have been remiss taking pictures and checking on it. If it ever stops raining and storming I will.
Squirrel update: He took 5 peanuts in a row directly from my hand. A second red squirrel was in attendance and really wanted to get in on the action, but was just too twitterpated to give it a try. Then a gray one came along. He seemed interested, too, and watched the procedings. He didn't learn the procedure either, but methinks that more than one will be joining the hand feeding soon.
