But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains. But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.

~ 1 Timothy 6:9-11 ~

I just finished saying to SO, "I want to be rich. Well, I am rich--but I want to have a lot of money. Money buys freedom and makes a lot of things easier," (and that is true) and I walked into the house and opened my computer to this--the verse of the day email from Sojourners.

Yes, it is true that I wish I had a lot of money. I'd share. And when I read this verse, I was so clear that I want God, love, endurance, righteousness, godliness, gentleness. Yes, all these things.

Okay. So having lots of money is next on my list.

I, too, wish that I had lots of money and I, too, would share. I believe that it is possible to live a godly life even if you do have a lot of money. Guess that's where we could say "I want it all."

Yes, indeed, money can buy us everything tangible we can touch, but the qualities and the joy of life is precious and priceless.. I, too, want to feel, display and drown in God - the peace!! I'm feeling a little better.. It's slow but I'm coming alonga and it feels good to visit and catch up...

LOL. As soon as we try to stray, it's nice to know that we are given gentle reminders. Wonderful scripture.

I'm with you, money is not too far down my list ;-)

I think that we all want money - that it will be answer to most of our prayers.

Then I look at people who have money, and they still have problems, most times, much worst than mine!

Because the richness that you and I have, can't be bought with money.

But it sure would be nice not to have to worry about it!

Love your image - the colors just pop!
