Love Thursday 05.14.09 ~ giving thanks

(for the little things)

If I love you, what business is it of yours?

~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ~

Somehow, I can imagine God saying this to me.

I feel like a dunce, but I don't understand Goethe's meaning. Can you tell more about what it means to you? Perhaps a good night's sleep will help illuminate it for me.

The image of the squirrels is priceless (oh, that now overused word, thanks to the not-to-be-mentioned advertiser).

I love squirrels. I have LOTS in my backyard, and have gotten one Mama to trust e and finally eat out of my hand. I call her Mama...she won't exactly come to me when I call her, but she won't run away either. She just stands there and looks at me....and waits for peanuts!

My friend and I have a joke about squirrels, and find stuffed ones & ceramic ones to send to each other all the time!

I love this capture! And, yes, I suppose God would say that. It is the truth!!

Happy Love Thursday to you & your furry little pals!

Hmmm... gotta turn that one over. The quote has a bit of a "who cares?" tone I've got to wrestle with. Maybe it just means, "Know that I love you and quit worrying about it?"

btw, the word verification is "birdspin."

The picture is great! So is the quote. I take it to mean that you can love whomever you want whether they like it or not. There is pleasure in loving as well as being loved.

....and I love you whether you like it or not, thithter!!

Loving someone (truly loving them) doesn't require a response?! maybe?
