hope

Hope is the strongest driving force for a people. Hope which brings about change, which produces new realities, is what opens man's road to freedom. Once hope has taken hold, courage must unite with wisdom. That is the only way of avoiding violence, the only way of maintaining the calm one needs to respond peacefully to offenses.

~ Oscar Arias Sanchez ~

excerpted from his 1987 Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech

I don't know if it is a driving force. It keeps me going sometimes. Is that the same thing?

What about you? Tell me about hope for you.

If I didn't have some kind of hope, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed in the morning!

I hope for wholeness and healing and peace, not only for myself, but for all people!

Lovely post, Wanda! I also feel that hope is like a driving force, or rather that it is somehow entwined with faith---that we must have something to believe in to give us courage. It helps us tap into our inner wisdom. Hope is what can lift us out of bed in the morning! LOL! Happy Day :o)

Hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. This is a little definition that I ran across recently. If we have Hope we are bound to strive to make it so. I have lots of hope for lots of things. It keeps me going.

yes, without hope, there is little anticipation.

Hope for me is praying that I have the strength to hang in there and trust that all will be the way it is supposed to be in the end. At times it's difficult to have hope, other times it's what keeps me going.

HOPE is the window to affirmation and affirmation is the beautiful and rewarding Presence! These words are going on my side bar!! My words I must admit... Creativity comes from our Creator!
